You may encounter Office error code 0-1012 while installing, repairing or updating Office 365, 2013 or 2016. Please follow the below steps carefully to fix the Office error code 0-1012 problem.

Step 1: Disk Clean-up
To delete files using Disk Cleanup
box, type Disk Cleanup, and then, in the list of results, click Disk Cleanup.
file types that you want to delete, and then click OK.
Step 2: system file checker
Run system file checker: sfc /scannow
Download office removal tool by clicking here.
Tool will appear like below pic, click next and tool will remove all the left over files from previous installation. Also, if you are on wifi network please switch to wired network (Connecting LAN cable)
Once the tool finishes, reboot the computer if tool ask for reboot.
