To fix the Microsoft Office Error code 0-1037 (0) please follow the below steps very carefully.
Step 1: Disk Clean-up
To delete files using Disk Cleanup
- Open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search
box, type Disk Cleanup, and then, in the list of results, click Disk Cleanup.
- In the Drives list, click the hard disk drive that you want to clean up, and then click OK.
- In the Disk Cleanup dialog box, on the Disk Cleanup tab, select the checkboxes for the
file types that you want to delete, and then click OK.
- In the message that appears, click Delete files.
Step 2: system file checker
Run system file checker: sfc /scannow
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
- Enter the command prompt in the search box.
- In the list of results, swipe down on or right-click Command Prompt, and then tap or click Run
as administrator.
- In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following command and press Enter:
sfc /scannow.
- When the system scan is complete, run the below tool to remove office files from the computer.

The tool will appear like the below pic, click next and the tool will remove all the leftover files from the previous installation. Also, if you are on wifi network please switch to a wired network (Connecting LAN cable)
Once the tool finishes rebooting the computer if the tool asks for a reboot.
Office 2016 Error code 0-1037(0)
- Login to http://office.com/myaccount.
- Enter the username and password.
- Click on the Install button
- Click on the downloaded file and installation prepares.
- Office installation will start after checking and preparing the configuration.
- Once installation is completed, click on the All Done button.
- Now, the Office Suite is installed and ready for use, and the Microsoft Office Error code 0-1037 (0) is fixed

Manually uninstall Office Click to RUN
Use Task Manager to end the Click-to-Run tasks:
Open Task Manager and click Process Tab.
If the following processes are running, right-click on each one and click End Task.
- appvshnotify.exe
- firstrun.exe
- setup*.exe
- Officeclicktorun.exe
Navigate to the following folder using windows explorer, find delete the folders from the location
Delete the Office Files:
If any of the folders do not exist, proceed with the next step.
- Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog box. In the Open box, type %ProgramFiles%, and then click OK. Delete the “Microsoft Office 15” folder.
- Open the Run dialog box, type %ProgramData%\Microsoft\, and then click OK. Delete the Microsoft office
- Open the Run dialog box, type %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs, and then click OK. Delete the Office 2013
- Open the Run dialog box, type %CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared, and then click OK. If the Office15 and Source Engine folders are present, delete them.
- Open the Run dialog box, type %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office, and then click OK. Delete the Office15
- Open the Run dialog box, type %appdata%\microsoft\templates, and then click OK. Delete the dotm and Welcome to Word.dotx files.
- Open the Run dialog box, type %appdata%\microsoft\document building blocks, and then click OK. Open the subfolder under the Document Building Blocks folder, and then delete the Building blocks.dotx
- Open the Run dialog box, type %windir%\Installer, and then click OK.
Proceed with the next step:
- Press Alt to display the menu bar if you don’t already see it.
- Windows 10: Click View, and then click Details in the Layout group.
- Windows 8 or 8.1: Click View, and then click Details in the Layout group.
- Windows 7 and Windows Vista: On the View menu, click Choose Details.
- Click View > Sort By > Subject.
- Locate each .msi file that has “Microsoft Office <product name> 2013” as the subject, right-click the .msi file, and then delete them.
Delete the Office registry sub keys:
If any of the registry keys do not exist, proceed with the next step.
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Delete the Office key
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ Delete the ose key
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Delete the AppVISV key
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Delete the Office key
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ Search for the keys ending with the value *0FF1CE* and delete them
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\ Delete the Office key
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Features\ Search for the keys ending with value *F01FEC and delete them
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\ Search for the keys ending with value *F01FEC and delete them
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\UpgradeCodes\ Search for the keys ending with value *F01FEC and delete them
- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Win32Asemblies\ Search for the keys ending with the value *Office15* and delete them
Install MS Office from Offline Installer
- Open any web browser and enter the below URL depending on the type of the MS office:
- Personal Microsoft account: Office Login
- Office for business or education: Office Login
- Sign in with the Microsoft account associated with your copy of Office.
- Choose Install.
- Choose Language and install options.
- On the Languages and Install Options page, choose Additional install options.
- Choose Download offline installer.
- Once the file is downloaded, burn the file to an empty DVD.
- After burning the disc, install the MS office from the disc.
