- Note: In case the Windows installation page did not appear and you are directed to press a key to start from DVD or CD then you might have to state that your computer uses its DVD or CD drive as the startup device.
- Click on Next if you don’t want to change some regional settings for the installation process.
- Click the “Install now” button.
- Accept the license terms and then click on Next.
The next stage is to pick the installation partition. Create a new partition on the hard disk. If you don’t want to create a partition on your hard disk then click on Next to start the installation. Select the partition you want to use if you already have another existing partition with enough free space and want to install Windows 7 on it to create a multiboot configuration. Now click on Next to begin the installation.
The setup process will now start to copy files from the installation DVD media to the hard disk. This process will take time. And the next you will see is the navigation to set the user’s and computer’s name. Before you set the name, it will show you the default name of the computer i.e, PC. Enter the user’s password. Remember this password unless you create an additional user or enable the built-in administrator account. Now click on Next.
Next, type your product key and in case you don’t have the product key in hand you can still click on Next, and proceed with the installation. Enter the product key after Windows is installed.
